Lisa Bolden knows southern hospitality. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, she graduated from Spelman College with a degree in Biochemistry and earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. She spent much of her career in the investment and mortgage banking industry, including positions at Morgan Stanley, Banc One Capital Corporation, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Attending posh events and hosting friends and family was always part of her DNA.
In 2016, Lisa and her twin daughters, McKay and McKenzie, launched the L.is.a.Luxury Collection, born out of Lisa’s passion for stemware and entertaining. She believes that each piece should make the holder feel glamorous, gorgeous, and spectacular! Her collection incorporates 23k gold, Swarovski crystals and ornate jewels as accents, and according to Ms. Bolden, "the beauty of each piece is meant to evoke a spirit of joy for the beholder. Lisa’s mantra, “Elevate the Experience of Entertaining and Enhance the Experience of Living."
Lisa, has now set her sights on redefining networking in the nation's capital. With the launch of Power Tea & Toasts, the founder and CEO is presenting her range of premium stemware and table décor, at private events that innovatively merge the concepts of the power lunch, high tea, and happy hour. Held at Ris, a beloved mainstay nestled in DC’s West End, Power Tea & Toasts offers women a fusion of captivating conversation amid delicious brunch items, cocktails, and tea selections. Led by Chef Ris Lacoste, the woman-owned restaurant earned a 2023 James Beard Semifinalist designation for "Most Outstanding Restaurant." Lisa selected Ris for its culinary repertoire that blends New England seafood, Parisian flair, with American farm-to-table classics. “I am thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to host this stylish networking series tailored for DC's elite, professional women,” Lisa adds.
